Progress Report

workshed project for the village Dhamadka Ta: Anjar.

Date:      As on  2.6.2002

The infrastructure available with the artisans of the village Dhamadka and round about villages was completely destroyed due to the Earthquake  of 26th January 2001. This rendered the artisans jobless. The efforts in the  direction of  rehabilitating  these artisans were started immediately. The detailed survey was carried out and 112 +1=113 artisans were identified who were in need of new worksheds.

Design & estimate

As per our record, on 2nd May-02 final design has been sent to Asian Development Bank & Gujarat Government for installation of funds. During the month they have suggested some additional norms and ideas for better structure. It has been implemented and corrected design has been prepared. Due to these development the cost/unit may be increased up to Rs. 8500.00/unit.

There are 9 (nine) different contractors for labor work has been signed and they have started their work on particular site. At Ajarakhpur steel has been supplied and for other sites purchase order has been submitted. Footing for columns are ready at all the sites. There are 39000 c.c. Blocks at Ajarakhpur and 23000 at Dhamadka site are ready. Machinery of Mud blocks was purchased initially has been decided to sale out.
