Shri Kutchi Bhanushali Seva Samaj Trust (SKBSST) is a 72 years old institution which has more than 13000 members and provides umbrella to 127 independent associations. Out of these, 68 village associations are situated directly in Kutch Gujarat, looking after their local welfare activities. SKBSST also run 8 Boys/Girls Hostels in Bhuj, Nalia, Mandvi, Jamnagar & around 1000 Students currently stay & study in above hostels free of cost which includes food, housing and Educational expenses.

VIDE issued USD 10,000 for immediate relief. The relief amount was used as follows:

- SKBSST distributed 40 Truck loads and 3 ships of 350 tons, full of food, Medicine, Tarpaulins and Tents to people in Bhuj and surrounding villages. - 5000 people were daily fed in community kitchens for first 2 months of earthquake in Bhuj - 30 of its doctors were assisting in injured people right from next day
